Late to the party here. For Chevrolet you can get several large PDFs with all the information you could ever want. These are, in total, 600+ pages with diagrams, measurements, and how to change/repair. I am sure they are available for Dodge's as well. Here are some of the filenames that may...
Curious, did you move forward with this? How did it work out? I am about to begin a similar build with similiar ideas for building techniques. I would love to hear anything you have learned, good and bad.
Perhaps old thread, but perhaps useful for someone. I bought two from Advance for a Chevrolet Duramax exactly one year ago. It appears there is a problem with one of them. Just figured it out this evening. Batteries are too expensive to even think one is dead after a year!
Interested to see this. I have done tons of research about building an expedition style box similar to how you are building this. Finishing the glass will be a lot of work but I believe it will be a very nice style.
The wings definitely need a significant amount of reinforcement. A diagonal...
Incredible paint/protector. Started using it 20+ years ago when I worked at a place doing Ferrari restorations. Can put it over light rust, but make sure nothing flaky is left.
Just did the frame of my truck when I took the bed off as well.
First off. Looks great! I have followed your stuff for a long, long time. It is nice to see a check up after 7? years since the build.
I know you have taken a lot of heat over the wood. Weighs more, but have you had any negative impacts of using wood versus composites?
No one likes to talk...
Good deal on a Fuso chassis CAD model for another day or so.

I have NO link to the site and do NOT receive anything. Just bought a Chevrolet MD truck CAD model and really love it. Thought...
FWIW, I chatted with GXV a few days ago. Great conversation. Short story, the kits are not just x' by x' and they will build whatever you want. Kits come with panels, extrusions, and glue.
Anyone successfuly chat with GXV about the kits? I just noticed this on their website. Curious which ones are available, specifically cab over models. I am in the final planning stages and this would be a game changer.
Incredible build. As someone who plans to start my own build really soon, I really enjoyed the thread. Thank you for the thread and answering all the questions!
If you stop by these parts again, I have a couple questions.
On page 4 you talk a little about the cabover. How is it...
