I’m sure the TRX is super fun to drive. I think I’ll stick to my 300hp and keep the speeding for my Ducatis etc. My license seems to be more at risk in a truck, as my last 3 tickets were all in my trucks.
TRX. Meh. (Are the kids still saying that?). Power Wagons are where it’s at(L). I can’t believe I drank the Cummins KoolAid so long🤣. Saw this one on the PowerWagon Owners group earlier today. It’s more my style than any 800HP desert truck. I like my sand wetter…
Buying a new truck is cerebral overload these days. I’m still loving the basic “loaded” Power Wagon I have. It’s an SLT or Laramie, but 2005 flavor, so just heated leather and then the rest is today’s Tradesman more or less.
If you actually bothered to read the release, he clearly DOESN’T recommend buying both. He states that it might make more sense to buy something other than the TRX if you want to daily drive/soccer mom your 1500.
Diesel in the Power Wagon is not really needed. You buy a diesel to tow or haul. Idling around crawling in low range (the PWs forte in case Ram didn’t know) is far from the ideal use case for a diesel.
Given the extra payload and lack of winch, the new truck is a Rebel with a front locker...
Sorry, but there is NO world where a 1995-2000 4 door Tahoe is superior to a 1974 K5 Blazer. None. The Tahoe might be more “practical”, but superior it is not.
How many people will be with you regularly? There is plenty of room in the back of a K5 Blazer for two. If you have a full family, you might want the ‘Burb. I’ve owned both of what you are looking at, and I’d take the Blazer 100 times out of 100 over the Suburban. Restored to a similar...
You are correct A-A. I would say both are more “staying in their lanes” than stuck in a rut:unsure:. My last camper was a Northern Lite I custom ordered. I had to battle a bit with the company owner (who is a complete @$$) to get what I wanted. Their campers are a notch above every other...
Hmmm. I was in a brand new Alaskan 650 in September. While they are fantastic rigs, I think Hallmark make as good. Likely where I would go. Not with the hard sides like an Alaskan, which is a compromise, but quite a bit lighter too.
I’d love to get my paws on either one of those, but I have...
Absolutely a fantastic build! I’ve seen Joes truck in person (although not for a few years) and you guys both have amazing skills. I grew up in the Mission wheeling my ‘81 Toyota 4x4 and ‘77 FJ40 all over Chute Lake, Crawford etc etc. Tons of great spots back in the early to mid ‘80s that are...
Well, I’ll just keep my fingers crossed that the 4 new solenoids set it straight. I’m fine with my wired remote. My multi-mount winch has a wireless remote if I need to be “untethered”.
