We are selling our beloved Tuesday, a 2010 Toyota Tacoma 4-door as we are relocating to the land Down Under. I picked her up in 2017 as a gently used, stock vehicle and have overseen all the modifications using premium shops. Work done to OEM parts was mostly handled by Toyota using OEM...
From what I saw there recently, the “updates” to the TetonX seemed small and mostly about improving margins for the new owners. Just my observation from a recent visit and discussion with the new owners.
I can’t speak to the new Overkill owners, but I knew the previous ones. Nice guys who had no...
Just an update on my Teton travels! I’ve been traveling the Arizona Backcountry Discovery Route for the past week with a buddy in his 4Runner. We were on our way through section 5 when a mechanical issue with my Tacoma forced us to spend a couple days in Flagstaff. Tomorrow we will resume the...
Right on, it's a great setup and you won't be disappointed. I'll do some seam sealing but yeah, for rough weather I close everything down and pack it up anyway. I've learned my lessons in high wind and major rain. Easier to take 5 minutes and close up shop than try and clean up/fix the damage...
I did have this picture of the window. See the red circle for the leak location. Again, in that much rain, any fabric will leak at the seams unless it is welded or seam sealed really well. I'm sure it's something I can seal up! There are two windows in the walls from Arctic Tern if you are...
My Taco was quoted at 6500 for a tow rating. But, none of that really matters when you have heavy armor, big tires and a regear. I wanted to be cautious given how weak the engine is even without towing. My trailer was listed at around 3400 lbs when we picked it up. We add the 30 gallons of...
I'll post some pics at some point, this forum requires me to resize images from my phone and I'm lazy. The windows are sewn from the bottom and velcro up the sides and top. When you stitch through fabric and do not seam-seal, there is a chance of moisture to come through the thread holes. In...
We also had leaking at the fabric windows. I did expect it and when the downpour came, I waited to see what would happen. The windows leak at the bottom seams where the fabric attaches and that's just the nature of the design. Since we live in the desert and rain isn't common, we prefer the...
We received our Teton a few weeks ago and have been very happy so far! We've done a couple of local trips and spent 5 days at the Grand Canyon last weekend. I'm going out for the first "off road" trip this weekend to see how it handles in the dirt. So far, we have really loved the trailer and...
We are still waiting for our trailer. We had expected this trailer back in January of this year initially. At this point, I'd be surprised if we have it by September....
I don’t really update things on the internet very often, so I apologize again for missing this message. If you want to see more recent images, check out the Instagram my wife has for the truck. IG: @WanderingTuesday. She does add pics there occasionally. We are about to take off for the rest of...
At faster highway speeds, the revs are a little high, but I like the way it’s geared, especially off road and now that we will be towing a trailer! I typically drive a little slower anyway, especially with gas at almost $6/gallon where we live.
