Refreshing a Built Range Rover Classic - Thread

I had to churn so much mud at one point that the front tires pushed it up behind the turn signals, pushing the turn signals out of the core support!

Refreshing a Built Range Rover Classic - Thread

I worked this beast hard again this fall. I returned to the URE! Safari for 2025 with this RRC, and made it back to Florida for the Florida Land Rover Club a week later. URE had a few two-wheel pucker moments, mostly because this Range Rover is so capable it lulls me into being lazy with...

    110, how bad really?

I am a diehard Land Rover fan. I grew up in my dad's Euro car shops, and he hated anything British (LR included). My second favorite RR is the P38 and I have had 21 LRs at one point. Take that for what you will. So, with that said, I can say it all depends on the Defender you pick. Much like...

    Anyone Running Nomad Wheels

I imagine you picked out a set of wheels by now. I run Nomad Saharas on my Touareg V8 and really like them.

Recommendation For Brake Kit 2016 LR4

Including the LR4, I have used Brembo rotors with Akebono Euro pads on everything European I've owned for the last two decades. In that time I've only had one set of Brembos warp on a 7 series BMW. Akebono pads cut down on brake dust, but usually trade a hair of initial bite for the reduction...

Post pictures of your Land Rover.

I wish we would've crossed paths, looks like the same beach I went to. That is an awesome Rover!

    2001 Land Rover Range Rover P38 - $8,500

Very sharp P38. I am glad to see these getting love over the last few years, as I think they offer old Rover charm with the best live-axle handling money can buy. With that many miles I'd ask the previous owner if they replaced the timing chain and front cover gasket when the heads were off.

Terrafirma swing away or Tactical 4x4 bumper w/ swing away... what would you choose

I have the Tactical rear bumper and really like it. It adds a lot of durability in place of the factory plastic bumper, which is important if you are using the LR4 in places where the signature long tail of a discovery can be an issue. The Terrafirma set up can look clean-ish if you really take...

    L322 Coil Conversion

https://www.ebay.com/itm/266602445861 Supposedly this one lifts 1.5". I'm considering doing the same thing, but have not committed yet.

Range Rover Classic at the 30th Amelia Show

Small world! I was bummed about the C&C cancellation but admit it was nice to attend the Concours on a C&C ticket haha. That thing looks great. I dig the front plate. Do you ever go to the Florida Club rallies? I went to one in early 2024 and met a group group of people.

The most dreaded Land Rover of them all…the P38!

Is the P38 really the most dreaded? Ever heard of the Freelander? I actually quite like the P38. Though, it's definitely paid the price for trying to be so cutting edge in a time of new tech. https://voyagerracks.com/land-rover-range-rover-p38-off-road-challenge-roof-rack That's my truck on...

Range Rover Classic at the 30th Amelia Show

I was lucky enough to get one of my RRCs into the "Royalty" section of the 80's/90's show known as Radwood. It was held as a complimentary show to the Amelia Island Concours d' Elegance this past weekend. I took it out on the beach afterwards and man even bone stock these RRCs just glide through...

Replace transmission in LR3 or buy an LR4?

I'm not sure why you'd want to get a 16. The V6 is a less refined V8 with less power and the same, if not more, problems. If you get a LR4, try to find a 13 and budget for chains, control arms, and coolant pipes by 100K. Admittedly, that all will cost over the $6800 you're considering with the...

    Maybe New LR4 Owner??

I agree with what XJLI said. The LR4 is an awesome swiss army knife SUV if you get a nice one in the right spec. The LR3 was a good start and the LR4 just improved on everything the LR3 is. People will tell you the LR4 has less reliable engines, but they are so much punchier and the transmission...

Refreshing a Built Range Rover Classic - Thread

After the fan replacement I had a new AC compressor, drier, and expansion valve installed. The A/C works great, and it was fixed just in time to go to the 20th Uwharrie Rover Expedition in North Carolina. The truck did really well and made it easy for a semi-novice like me to learn to rock...
