I would have jumped on a Defender by now, but the closest dealer is 4 hours away. Sounds like 110 owners spend a lot of time at dealers (albeit mostly for little pesky things), so that pretty much rules them out for me.

The Grenadier apparently is slower than my 5th gen 4Runner, which is pretty much a dog, so that's a deal killer for me. All of the alternatives, like the GX, Defender, and even the 4 cyl LC 250 are significantly better in terms of power. I realize we're not talking sports cars, but i have zero...

The more I think about this the more curious I become. If driving one sounds like driving an EV with a little gas generator running in it somewhere, that's 100% a deal killer. I'm sure that's not what they're going to cook up, but what? Fake ICE exhaust noise over the audio system?

So if what I've seen is accurate, for the models with the range extender, the "EV only" range (i.e. no gas in it) is only 150 miles. But ~500 miles total with the extender in use? (The range extender versions have smaller batteries than the pure EV versions. But that ratio still fundamentally...

I have this Leitner rack and some of the accessory bits on my Silverado, and I'm convinced it's the best system of its kind on the market. Great rack as a nice price.

That doesn't change the fact that they couldn't drive directly home without a 3 hour stop, whereas stopping for gas on the same (desired) rout would have taken 5 minutes.
