I am on a roll tonight! Might as well give this old thread some new life too! No….probably not. Maybe one last Post for old times sake. The 2012 has made a good replacement for the OBS PSD. I’ve owned it for several years now. I actually sold it for a year and bought it back. It’s an amazing...
Like I do- I keep on modifying. I kept the spare tire mount from the 97’ and just a couple of weeks ago I was able to get the winch bumper back from the 97’. The guy who bought that truck took it off. Because we have become friends I found out and he sold it back to me. Definitely a nice...
I drove it like this for a year or better and then I decided it needed a flat bed. I farm for a living and they are the best for that. I found a home-made one about 70 miles from home for a good price. It is really well made and it was a good addition to the truck.
I’m gonna do a few posts and see what happens. Why not? So I got the 96 home and started to work. The really short version is that it needed two fuel tanks and two fuel pumps. So I did what I do and ordered a factory replacement for the front and a 38 gallon aftermarket for the rear.
Then I...
Man….life happened! No….covid happened. Life got retarded and I wouldn’t know where to begin. So I’ll try, if there’s even anyone on this app that even remembers this thread. If not- I’ve wasted time on far worse things.
Around 2019 I started a deer feed company with my best friend. It took...
One hell of an outfit. I stumbled across it when you had the camper in the bed. Super cool then- super cool now! Hope you find it a good home. Thanks for sharing with all of us the pictures and write-ups. Definitely gave me some great ideas for my own projects.
HAF, What engine is in your F-550? Is it a 6.2 or the new 7.3? I’m curious as I have an F-350 with a 6.2 and am constantly surprised with the amount of available power and drivability of it. I honestly didn’t realize Ford would even offer a gas in a truck that large. I’m done with the modern...
Ok....my turn to share some opinions. I kinda encouraged you to fix up your 7.3 truck a while back. Since I was running two of them at the time I had some experience.
What you’re looking at is some sound advice from the previous posters. I sold my 97 F-350 crew cab long bed 7.3 with a ZF-5 and...
Thanks! I have 4.10 gears and I think 37’s wouldn’t absolutely kill it. I have mulled over going to them next. I like the idea of a SRK for front lift. I’ve not done one yet but a close friend is fixing to do his 94’ with one. My other F-350 that I sold had a set of Atlas 4” over stock...
That’s a fine looking ride! I’m a big fan of the vintage! I have the same truck with a 5 speed. I’ve put about 3” of life under mine and added a Detroit rear locker and a flat bed. I’m running 35”s and get along just great. I have owned 7.3 diesels and they are great.... but there’s nothing...
The super duty platform is pretty solid! Coil springs, straight axels, factory E-lockers, lots of configurations available. We’ve been running them for several years now and are seeing little to complain about. My personal preference is to stay away from the diesels. Advocates will say the power...
Dang. Another awesome truck getting sold. I point no fingers....it was only 8 months ago that I sold mine. BUT- I don’t regret it!!!! Here’s to new adventures my friend!!!
