This is awesome to see! i just saw your post from today and am excited to read through the build as another GM guy. Id take those cad files if you want to PM me i can give you my email.
Yeah in my old Tacoma I had made a sleeping platform with storage below it. That one was nice because no part of the platform sat on the bed which made for use of the whole bed for storage while I could sleep up top.
@jimjam300 cool man I’m going to keep my eyes peeled for one. I saw an LB7 Chevy with a headache rack and a soft topper setup and really looked the looks of it. Look forward to seeing what’s next for the ram!
@frojoe makes sense having all weather stuff in the bed and sounds super useful having the all weather bags. @ThundahBeagle ive had a lear 180 on my old Tacoma and an ARE DCU commercial cap on my Chevy and I loved both. Have also had access tonneau covers on both. I think my next move will be a...
Rad trip! Always envious of the wheeling/camping combo you guys have out west. For such a long trip how do you deal with your gear in the bed staying dry? Not sure I’ve seen a soft topper on a ram before but it would look sick IMO. Nice update post @frojoe
Nice rig! I’m digging that front bumper. What are your thoughts on the soft topper? I’ve had fiberglass and commercial caps before and always end up taking them off but they were so practical for dry storage. Seems like soft toppers are best of both worlds as far as dry storage goes and ease of...
You and @frojoe officially have the sickest trucks/build threads on here, Thank you Canada! I haven’t logged on here in a while and just stumbled upon your thread. What a treat that was to read through and superb work/craftsman ship with this thing. So sick!!
Is he on 37s? What was his gear ratio before going 5.13s and did the gasser do ok pushing them? I daily my truck and do about 80 miles a day for work. I’m on 35s and 4.10s in a 2500hd. Thanks frojoe
This is the best truck/thread on here. Just found it and read through it all. Does your bud with the 2500 gasser have a build page? I’m in a gasser as well so always stoked to see others. Looking forward to keeping up with your truck.
Nice! I’m on 285s now and was thinking of going to 235s. A local member near me is selling 4.88s so might do that as well and bump up to 35s. Wish the 235s filled the wheel wells nicer on the 2nd gens. Decisions decisions. Anyways here a pic of my truck. It ain’t that old yet but one day it will be!
