I live in Philadelphia, PA. and love taking the family camping. I also use my XJ for surf fishing down on Long Beach Islan NJ. Our jeep and a tent is all we need,,, well besides food and supplies. just mean that we don't need $10,000 island vacations and fancy hotels. though they are fun. My current jeep is a 2001 XJ with 4-1/2 lift up front and about 5 to 5-1/2 in the rear. The rear has a factory limited slip that saved my butt a few times in the sand. I'm not big into mudding or rock crawling but don't mind watching it. I use my jeep as a DD but also use it for what it was ment for... like most other true 4x4's its ment to take you places regular vehicles can't, and for doing things that take some extra gear for that can't be hiked in to a spot or just would not be practical.
