I don't think lift matters in terms of tire clearance. But I'm running 265 70 17's with a +/_ 3" lift with no rubbing issues. Cruises 80 all day and I wish the shifting were a bit better but I'm old so it still seems like a dream vehicle in terms of it's operation and reliability.
I have...
Sorry no pics of before. But most of the rust was hidden by the running boards.
Removal was lots of self tapping screws and a few braces that were also rusty as hell.
Welcome to the club. I have a 2013 Chevy that I love. In fact I love it so much I bought a 2003 GMC similar to the one you've got this past summer. It even has the G80 ( maybe this option was more likely in conversion vans??)
I found some pretty rusted rocker panels when I removed the running...
I'm trying to fit my 2013 AWD Express so that it can tow a good sized trailer and have questions.
1. Does the Z85 RPO code mean anything? lots of gm truck info out there that seems to suggest a trans cooler and oil cooler would be part of that but I have neither ( unless they're behind the...
Greetings,
Anybody had any luck in reducing wind noise?
I have a 2013 AWD 1500 cargo with aftermarket hands free and can barely use the phone function no matter where I place the mic.
All the weather stripping seems to be in great shape and the more I study the front edge of the drivers door -...
sackettmw nailed it! Thanks alot!! The transfer case WAS overfilled by maybe 2 cups - enough to make a difference there but an almost insignificant amount in the tranny.
At any rate, I've drained the excess from the TC and topped up the trans and all seems to be good.
Unless someone is...
Anyone care to try and explain/speculate?
Earlier this week I was near St. George UT running up the long climb heading north. It was hot out side, I had the AC and had been driving for a maybe an hour. I don't usually run my AC.
I look in the side view mirror and I'm blowing smoke - like pull...
Oh and I am pretty sure your 5.3 should not have that little screen under the oil pressure sender , that is for engines with the AFM system
Thanks for the heads up on the screen. Was a bit concerned that someone had already been in there.
The oil change did the trick. With my new pressure...
I hope these couple pics come through! First is Salmon River in Id, second is southern Utah.
I'll say again that I love this van! It's been so dependable. capable and comfortable I almost could not ask for more. It should be noted that I'm almost 60 so the cars I grew up with were really...
It's been some time since I visited this thread and just thought I'd check in.
I freaking love my van! In fact I have a hard imagining a more useful, comfortable , capable rig to do things I want to do. Cruise 80 all day and then bump out to a remote campsite and live outside for a while.
I...
I just did a 5000 mile trip which included interstate, 2 laners, washboard, and getting pretty close to as off roady ( steep, basketball sized loose rock) as I’d care to get with the lift and shocks you’ve described with no control arm change.
My van performed perfectly in all conditions. I...
Pretty simple. Took out the battery, removed all the high spots to level the tray. Welded two "L" brackets to a threaded rod with holes drilled through the bottom section of the L and bolted them to the tray. A piece of channel steel serves as the hold down.
The isolator is mounted up high on...
