    Epoxy coatings

I've used Raka epoxy for years. If I may suggest, lay down a 6-oz layer of fiberglass, too. It'll keep the wood from checking. If you buy their pumps, life will be good. Mix less than 1-cup at a time, or it'll start to go off in the cup. Tony

Eighteen months in the making... here's the book: Building a Teardrop Trailer: Plans and Methods for Crafting an Heirloom Camper

Nothing quite like finding a campsite with a view at 8,800'. I think I'll have to return on the 4th of July next summer.

Building a fully enclosed Overland trailer to be towed by a Jeep

We just finished our three-week trip to southern Utah. Our 11-pound propane tank is at 54%. We go to town about every five days or so for gas, ice, grub, and maybe a shower. We've been doing this spring trip for over a decade, sometimes for a month, and have never had to refill the propane...

Torsion axle on cargo trailer conversion

Torsion axle on cargo trailer conversion

    Well, it's a common issue with frames made from 2 x 2" x .120 steel.

Torsion axle on cargo trailer conversion

I have not. But I've installed a few Dexter Torflex axles on clean trailer frames. You'd have to bolt the axle to the two brackets, jack it into place, spot weld, remove the axle, and finish welding. You need to go extra slow on this–no more than about 3/4" at a time–and allow the steel to...

Eighteen months in the making... here's the book: Building a Teardrop Trailer: Plans and Methods for Crafting an Heirloom Camper

What makes me happy is seeing a builder bring a new one from the pages of my book. It's pretty cool. This gal belongs to a fella named Roger H.

RV repair shops + ballistic panels manufacturing build indestructible no easier way to build

I'm a little confused about the construction timeline for when I should be giving away freshly killed turkeys, but perhaps I haven't had enough coffee yet.

How to build your own Carbon Fiber Camper making your own Composite/Foam panels.

    They've changed. Mine's a five-year-old Renogy 100 watter. It's still doing great.
