part 2 - haha
THIS time I wanted to try something different on the way home... After Val D'or we turned NORTH on 113 and went that way - hoping the highway would be passable. Turns out the route is shorter, faster, in better shape an has better scenery than the southern route. It pops out in the Saguenay region which is possibly the best in Eastern Canada. AWESOME! We caught the St-Siméon / Rivière-du-Loup ferry ($70 for the Jeep & 2 people) and Louise photographed some beluga whales on the hour-long crossing. SO worth it!
From KL to our place is almost exactly 2000 km, which works out for me to be 20 driving hours or so.
