    OBI Dweller Review and Discussion

First time out since swapping all of the electrical over, about 16 hours of running the fridge/freezer full of food, cellular internet (no starlink needed), running a couple of fans, misc lights and the pump for a quick shower: The suns about to come up so it should be interesting to see how...

Hmm I'll grab pics of the roof top when I get back, i ordered a matching renogy flexible panel that was 100w and they all looked basically identical. I wonder if this is another thing that varies wildly between batches and years. I've now seen in person crazy differences between the D13/D15...

*edited to fix embeds: I've mostly finished our Redarc retrofit, I've got a little more fusing to add for some of the primary positive sides but I'm waiting on the block to come in. I'm also swapping out to conductive tank sensors vs the resistive floats that are inside (using these tank...

It's happening! Ripping out all of the existing controls and moving it all to redarc. Everything arrived today, but i'll be out of town this weekend and a wedding the next. Hoping i can start next week during the week assuming the weather and work holds up. I'm going to have my wife document...

Our inner bathroom latch fell off. A+ half a thread per screw holding it in.

I'm pretty sure they're Group 31, the ones I used were these cheap Weize 100ah ones: https://www.weizeus.com/collections/best-sellers/products/weize-12v-100ah-1280wh-lifepo4-lithium-battery-up-to-8000-deep-cycles-smart-bms?variant=44090015088868 They're 13*6.77*8.46 inches and fit perfectly...

It could be that your batteries are low and the inverter's charger kicked on, too.. I think it defaults to 65a of charging which is ~900w (or more), the AC itself will draw ~850-900w total. With the AC compressor on, and the battery charger on at 65a you're likely just tripping the breaker at...

Just swapping both the solar+inverter to Lithium mode.. The inverter/charger kinda sucks, and won't charge until you hit basically empty, so I'd recommend setting the charging voltages manually in it so you don't end up totally dead after 4-5 cloudy days in a row...

Las Burras is an out-and-back, this video is the back part, going out was actually the toughest part and we didn't film it sadly. We camped at Las Burras #3 (the furthest site), this was the worst section of the trail which is about 3/4 of a mile down Las Burras rd. The rest was pretty...

Oh not even the high performance dish, just the new v3 dish that is in beta now, should be GA later this year, same price as the current one but it's flat and non-motorized w/o the awful connectors.

After dealing with having to constantly mess with the Renogy inverter and the poor performance of the PWM solar charger, I'm probably about to waste like $4k on: https://www.redarcelectronics.com/us/tvmscombokit1-na...

The equalizer goes on and off super fast with airbags btw, I put an ARB twin compressor under the hood for airing up and down tires and the bags. I run 30psi with the bars and 40psi without. You can put 80psi in to jack up the rear to put the bars on and just let out to 30psi and settle it back...
