Today was getting the headlights working. Ended up being a dead switch...one of the very few parts that is easily found for a C5500 as these were used in all the GM trucks of that era. Also LED headlights and LED front turn signals installed.
Purchased some leather 10 way adjustable seats off of Facebook Marketplace. Spent 3 hours figuring out why the lumbar was not working on the drivers side seat...a bunch of broken wires that got caught in the hinge. Fixed and working now...making modifications to the pedistal to install...
Finally getting around to mounting the super singles. Pirelli Pista PS22's on my custom MRAP wheels from Staz. Stripped the old white paint off, did a sand blast and paint. Man these things are very heavy to mount solo!
Slow going...not in a hurry and it was a busy fun summer. Got the Raptor applied and now working on soundproofing the interior. Made up a new headliner as well.
Great design and pics...man you can certainly lay dimes on your TIG!! I am in Colorado, where are you located? Also...what wall panels did you use? I really wanted Styromax but cannot find a shipping container large enough to ship them over from Australia
Boy wouldn't that be wonderful! No...I have not as you likely know we have unicorn trucks as there were not that many quad cabs made. Let's keep in touch if we find a source!
Also super excited to find new front door panels. Every Kodiak/Top Kick you see has broken ones and I was preparing to repair/reinforce my junk ones....then out of the blue, found some on Amazon!!
