Yay, the electronics are done...Really done. I left the screen on to check for heat issues, cycled through all the relays many times at max amp, did everything I could possibly do except submerge it in water to make sure it was ready. It's done. I have decided to keep the smaller screen...

Time to remove the overhead console and build a mount for the screen in the sunglass holder.

Jeez, after messing around with this for a couple of months I finally got it working without any issues. The I/O relay board was easy, just time consuming. I did end up soldering a pin connection where a capacitor should have been and I had never de-soldered anything before, so that wasn't...

I have been working out the bugs in the electronics, still lots of problems. This is where I am at now. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j6l3PeyNdbs

NOCO Mini Genius on-board battery charger

Hey Brian, Thanks man, thats exactly what I was wondering. Weasel, It seams that charging batteries is a bit of an art. I was under the impression that you could trickle whatever amperage you wanted at the cost of time. The real danger being over charging with a high amperage for too long...

Thats a gnarly relay. 150 amp peak with a 40 amp continuous rating, do you have a flux capacitor in that thing? They have a 20 amp coil for a single gate (spst = single pull, single throw). That's a lot of juice to shut the door. You could run two 50" Rigid Light bars shelling out 46,000...

Probably not, but keep in mind thats just a "shoot from the hip" kind of answer. To really find out you would need to tell me the part# of the relays that you use. The screen toggles between 0(ground) and 3.3v. It actually can do a lot more than that, like communicate via byte size operators...

Thanks BWJ After thinking about it I have decided to make a bunch of changes to the touch screen system. I was originally going to use the screen to operate just the water system however after Joe (Joe's Toy) questioned its ability to run all the accessories it seemed dumb to have this tiny...

This is the dash mount iPad holder my wife gave me for Christmas. I love having my iPad on the dash but the mount itself sucks. The bracket that attaches to the truck is springy so it makes the screen bounce all over. I will need to weld a little triangle at the corner to make it stop...

I first posted on Expedition Portal regarding an onboard water system a few days ago under the "adventure planning" category. I have since realized that I may have started that thread in the wrong spot. Here is that thread...
