Funny this term, "Overlanding". I've been doing this sort of thing for the majority of my driving life, but I called it "Car-Hiking", or "Car-hike-ing" when my kids were little. I've always been an outdoors exploration type person, first exposure was the Cub/Boy Scouts, with hiking trails, backpacking, and camping were my focus as I expanded my reach.
Living in Oregon has granted me access to such a diverse terrain, that my curiosity and experience has increased as I've gotten older. Now I'd like to expand my gear, and hope to use this forum as a reliable resource.
I am primarily wanting a canopy wedge camper for the 6.5 bed of my 2004 Silverado. Super Pacific, AT Summit, Vagabond Nomad, GFC are types that I've dreamed of having on my truck. Obviously being aware of the current build out times and my lack of patience, I'm hoping to make a connection on finding a compatible swap over, or buying a build spot.
