I think you want to match where and how you drive and let that guide what you need. 30+ years ago when me and buddies were all about high speed runs we loved KC Daylighters spot beams. Now the flood beams would be better as I'm not so worried about out driving the lights. With LED's the...
I had an 01 Yukon (not XL) w/SLT trim level. It came with the rear G80 Ltd slip and worked well when I needed it. I put GM skid plates (as SDDiver said they were thin, but I wasn't rock crawling it- logging and FS roads and they worked great for what I needed). It was a great platform for what I...
I hope VW stays true to the design (which it appears they are). Sadly with VW's diesel debacle (and the bs we're seeing around fuel based vehicles) we won't likely see it but it would be awesome to see a small 4 cyl diesel in that vehicle IMO.
Well done! My uncle always had Scouts and my parents had a Travelall. Not thrilled about the new ones being EV but it is what it is. Nice job and great pics!
I have not checked for this specifically but you might be able to find what you are looking for somewhere in here in the upfitter manuals. Good luck!

Should be a great rig! I worry about the height but I am sure you will enjoy the room.
Saw on the International website how the instrument cluster looked just like GM's....then saw the engine is a 6.6L and I wondered if that was a rebadged Duramax or something....this confirmed it...

I despise the heat....my first time to the Saguaro NM I thought it was amazing (in my AC'd car). Got out to take a picture of a huge Saguaro cactus and it was like a blast furnace hit me. I grabbed the picture and dove back inside. Ha! That said I really want to do Death Valley. Just to prove it...
100% my bad. Read it on my phone and I thought the receiver tube had split apart. I see it now (when I open my damn eyes... ?) the hitch " bar" broke off. Thanks for correcting that. I still get leery of any receiver hitch recoveries as the static load of a trailer (while heavy certainly) are...
This post reflects why the receiver hitch may not be the best way to go for a recovery. Granted I don't know a lot about what they did from the article but the ball was not the weak link, the entire receiver tube let go. So while Factor 55 or some other similar 3ntity might make something...
I think the Gladiator would be limited to carry enough batteries for 48 hours of power in those Temps (and limited solar replenishment ability in winter). (ETA- the Rubicon has only 1200 lbs of payload v the Willy's which has 1,700. And that's with the gas engine. I suspect it drops even more...
I agree it could be an issue- I've played with some math on a friend's truck and with something like this Easy Slide Easy Slide - Lowering Travel Fridge Slide By Clearview (clearviewmirrorsusa.com) (see pic 13 for dimensions & drop) here's what I came up with (which is problematic as his wife is...
