    Shocks

I have Bilstein 5100’s on my 1999 F-350. It has a 2” leveling spring in the front so I was able to use them on all four corners. I have about 5000 miles on them over about a year and like them so far. They’re on the stiff side unloaded, but damp well when loaded down. We’ll see how they hold up...

    Heavy Truck Tires

Exactly, saying that over 16,000 isn’t necessary is like saying we don’t really need to transport goods around the country with semi trucks. We could really do just fine if we shipped everything in pickup trucks. I for one have a F-350 as my expedition rig to be, but if I could afford a bigger...

    2007 Silverado - Buy Once, Cry Once: 1-tons, 40's & a Custom Camper

Let us know how the Centramatics work out for you! I bought a set off eBay that turned out to not be real ones, but off brand copies. I had them so I gave them a whirl but they didn’t do much to fix my minor vibration at highway speeds. My curiosity is whether real centramatics or balance...

Single VS Dually rear tires….again, real world experiences

Everyone says duals are worse off-road. I don’t have any personal experience as my 1 ton has singles. However Trail Mater (the off road tow truck) on YouTube has duals and seems to do really well with them off-road.

Reinforced parts (Heavy-Duty) for Fuso steering

The better way would be to just get a wider axle. Why do you want to modify the track width?

    Cabover HMMWV Expedition Truck Project

This is a pretty sick build, I’d also love to see an update if possible!

    2007 Silverado - Buy Once, Cry Once: 1-tons, 40's & a Custom Camper

What company did you use for the new seat foam and upolstery? I need to do the same thing to my Superduty and there is a wide range of prices between the companies that offer replacements.

Anyone disconnect their front sway bar?

I think the key in all of this is just knowing what your vehicle will and won’t do, and how it behaves at the limit, and then driving accordingly. The trick is that you have to actually drive your vehicle at the limit to know how it will behave there. Most everyday people never approach that...

Anyone disconnect their front sway bar?

Yeah I like them so far!

Anyone disconnect their front sway bar?

Yeah the Bilstein 5100’s I put on the F-350 helped a lot. They’re on the stiffer side as far as damping so they help a lot with the body roll.

Anyone disconnect their front sway bar?

I have a fair bit of experience running rigs without swaybars. In college when I really started off-roading my Jeep Wrangler TJ I removed the front swaybar and ran without it for a few years. It made it miles better off-road and was tolerable on road. It was my daily at the time. The amount of...

    Pour Man’s Dually

The leverage on the bearings will also depend on the offset of the wheels used. If you add width to the wheels but also adjust the offset so the added width is split between the inside and outside of the wheel mounting surface, the bearing wear shouldn’t change. However if the added width is...

    2007 Silverado - Buy Once, Cry Once: 1-tons, 40's & a Custom Camper

I am decidedly not a GM fan, but I’ll admit when a build is cool and this is certainly cool! Helps a lot that you’re getting rid of the worst part of GM trucks (the front suspension) in my opinion!
