i used a Westin 50-6325 - 72" x 96" Bed Mat, its heavy about 75 pounds and did smell like a tire store for a few weeks. i think you could alleviate the smell quicker if you left the mat out in the sun for a few days. i planned on cutting some 1/4" x 2" plywood strips to place in the grooves in...
in my astro the little cfx28 is kept at easy access from side door and drivers seat, currently running off a 35ah battery mounted under passenger seat connected to a isolator off the starting battery.
this is from when i had my 2002 e350 7.3, i didn't put all the miles on it but as far as i know the engine only had a set of injectors and a turbo replaced. it was on its third drivers seat though

I recently purchased a dometic cfx28, so far has been great. Its small, sturdy, seems efficient, and when I'm not on an adventure its in my garage keeping my drinks cool running on 110 ac.

my vent is a fantastic fan 1200, I don't have the part numbers for the base and the lid. I just emailed rvvent.com, they seem to specialize in fantastic fan vents.. I told them I wanted a low profile base and a flat vent lid. The lower base was probably not necessary it only lowers it .75"...
