Ya I had to glue all the fasteners in my Airstream. At least Airstream used dovetail joints on the drawers. I'd only consider the Ekko if I could get a "deal" on one, like $175K max. The local Denver dealer has like ten of them in stock.
Can anyone that has/knows about Ekko's speak about their quality holding up? I've noticed the interior is mainly stapled plywood... wondering how that is holding up to corrugated dirt roads and light off-roading?
More attainable is always good! I remember I was close to pulling the trigger on an EC FX back in 2019 when they were base ~$255K. Then I saw 5 years later the 2024 FX "started" at $600K and almost spit my coffee out. That's the price of three AeonRV's.
Has anyone cross-shopped the Aeon with an Ekko 23B? I'd like to keep my purchase capped at $200K which is entirely possible with the Ekko, but may stretch it if the Aeon is significantly better for your typical Overland/off-road camping.
Unfortunately the gladiator only has a 22 gallon fuel tank size. When I researched a V8 Gladiator the range without dipping into reserve was going to be under 200 miles.. so it didn't fit my overland vehicle needs. Otherwise I'd probably have one! One of the best things about the F150 Raptor -...
I don't think this thing is getting anywhere near the reserve on cars and bids. That's not the expedition vehicle audience.
For me being a 2 seater cab kills it for me. Amount of people willing to spend $200k plus cash on a home built has to be miniscule.
I was looking into this model till I found out they moved all production to China and also having a Chinese compressor. No thanks, especially for that price.
