I been working on my tailgate. Where I got my fiberglass kit .Will lay up the rear skin in my frame.What way the glass will be flat with the face of the 1.5'' angle iron. I can hide the angle are make it stand out. If I first sand with 36 grit on the inside and then pant .That way the fiberglass will be locked in .

As I am waiting for my tailgate to get back from the fiberglass place. Stared to work on my fenders. There from E-Trailer.com. I made them bolt on .IF I smash one on the trail I can remove easy . I am 225 I got on top no movement .

Received my tailgate back .Most of the time there's a flat panel there bounded out side are in side a frame behind what the frame is made from. It will be a 1/8''reset .I want to be flat and show the 1.5'' angle iron to show.

I'LL ADD SOME 1'' BY 1'' in the back .That way it can be a step for the clamshell tent

Went by the shop to take the frame for sandblasting . As a joke they put a ford f250 on top with a forklift .Just the four 2x2'' post holding it up .So on the next one will use 1 x1.5 tube .that will give me two more inches in the tailgate opening.

Been thinking I may do a drop down front. I trim the front that all hand laid fiberglass

After Wednesday it's going to be back in the cold 70. Frame is weld , tailgate made, wood for floor cut, just need to prime and paint.Also waiting on 4 Emergency Rescue Space Thermal Mylar Blankets 84 x 52 to start on clameshell tent.
I was thinking I may try to add some foe rust to the fiberglass.

by dabbing the primer with a brush .

I've been ask what the back and front panels. look like This kit uses posts that run up from the frame The fiberglass hangs on the post. To me this is the strongest way to go . There is no way for the back to open up. So part of the rear and front is molded to the side panel. In these pictures you see the profile of the tops that I have to chose from . .

Now that the frame has been sand blasted it should go together fast . Sealed the floor today . Tonight will cut out for the four uprights

Just got home from doc. will be laid up for 45 are so days So plan to work on my tent .May try to make it a high rise with slide out.. SO put trailer on hold maybe now that frame is finished . To put on the fiberglass parts of the trailer is to drill 16 holes and tap them with 1/4 20 tap .I going to make this 15 mi seam very hard .So feel sorry for me.

Today played with the fiberglass rings for the cover. I'll use 1/4" birch plywood for the top center The fiberglass rings stared as High Pressure Aeroponics unit.

I so want to start and post the Modular fiberglass component hard cover chuck wagon kit Will be using these kits for top and bottom for my tent also .It will make it look like the ALU-CAB tent.When you closed your eyes

I was ask what the bottom look like on the fiberglass component lid . I got it with a 3/8'' lip . Wish I had gone with 1/2'' .A little more rain protection
