The Isuzu and Fuso aren't 4wd either... gotta pay $$$ to convert.Problem is you Yanks don't have any medium weight forward control 4WDs suitable for expedition vehicle use.
Just start with a 450(0)+ level C&C and make your life easier. Assuming this will be used in North America. Is building out an Isuzu Fuso chassis feasible, with parts and service being discontinued in the near future in the United States?
Honestly, other than landscapers and small delivery/moving vans we don't really use forward control trucks. They have very few advantages for us.It is easy to reject a choice, but there needs to be a better alternative.

IIRC the gas engines were the 6.0 chevy/gmc. The rest of the truck is going to cause a problem over time if I had to guessDon't they have GM drivetrains? Can you get the same parts but from chevy or gmc? I don't know, just asking.
Oh they have some very nice features like being able to see where you are going and putting more in a wheelbase... but it's not worth the hassle and expense for most people.Honestly, other than landscapers and small delivery/moving vans we don't really use forward control trucks. Having owned a Yank aircraft carrier front and a forward control, I will never go back.

I took for granted that you knew what you were talking about, but I don't see anything regarding Isuzu truck chassis being discontinued. Fuso is a Mitsubishi truck, and these have been phased out.Is building out an Isuzu Fuso chassis feasible, with parts and service being discontinued in the near future in the United States?

With the Isuzu NPR being readily available, and having a GM drivetrain these should be perfectly fine to use. If you want 4wd you'll need to convert it, and while many have, I don't know the cost.
It looks like EarthCruiser is still selling their Core chassis based on the Isuzu NPR, and that starts at $141,500, but has a lot of mods besides just 4wd. https://earthcruiser.com/vehicles/core/
