Professionally maintained by a Volvo specialist since I purchased the car in 2020. This car is in excellent condition and I have thoroughly enjoyed my journey with it. I take thorough care of my things and it shows. The body does have its scuffs here and there for its age and the frame is rock solid. I am only selling it because I am starting a business and I purchased a work vehicle. It currently has 232.5k on the odometer and running strong. I have put a lot of work into this car making sure of it (see list below). This is a unique vehicle with one-of-a-kind capabilities. It has a 2” lift, upsized all-terrain tires and a custom XC90 front axle swap, giving it a higher ride, improved ground clearance and a more aggressive stance. I have custom designed and built the rear interior for camping and overland style travel. This involved replacing the rear seats with a frame mounted platform for maximized storage capacity underneath while creating an open level camping space above. As you can see in the photos there are storage boxes for clothes, smaller gear and food, as well as a pull-out style “kitchen”. I have also configured on-board water storage as well as propane for the stove. All of the built elements are secured to the frame of the car but can also be removed with just a few steps. The space can sleep up to two people and can be configured with a recliner style seat for relaxing on those rainy days. The stealth camping in this vehicle is unmatched as no one can believe the livability packed into it! Pull into a great vista or trailhead, crash for the night then pull out the kitchen and chairs for an amazing breakfast with a view. I have even installed an interior release for the rear hatch so you don’t even need to get out of the car to open up. I also have two Kuat roof mounted bike racks and a Thule roof box that will be included. The original rear seats will transfer with the car as well. Any individual pieces of camping gear pictured will not be transferred with the car.
As I mentioned above, I have completed a lot of mechanical work and updates listed below starting with the most recent. All parts are Volvo OEM and I have all the paperwork.
2025:
Rear Brakes – new rotors, pads, hoses and one caliper
2024:
Front Brakes – new rotors, pads and one caliper
2023:
New XC90 Front Axles
New Timing Belt, Idler & Tensioner
New Aux Belt Tensioner Assembly
New Water Pump
Transmission Flush
New Crank & Camshaft Seals
New Front Right Engine Mount
New Front Brake Hoses
New Ball Joint
2022:
New Ignition Coils & Spark Plugs
New Fuel Pressure Sensor
Factory Recall Airbag Replacement
2021:
Installed Cross Country Performance Lift Kit
Rear Suspension Full Replacement
New Control Arms
New Ball Joint
New Upper Torque Mount
Full Fluids Flush
New Radiator
New Alternator
New Battery
PCV Service
The only potential issue with the vehicle is with the exhaust, where a connection has come loose making for a “throaty” response. This is an optional repair. I have chosen to leave it.
Email with any questions and I’d be happy to tell you more.
