Hi have not posted much here as my truck has been sitting for the past several years. With this we are getting it up and running. It starts and runs but we are getting a p0335 error or a crankshaft position sensor error. Now I understand it can be the sensor itself or a corroded wire or contact to the sensor. If anybody can help us solve this issue we will be eternally grateful. We are having to travel from the Yucatan Mexico across the country for 2000 miles or 3000 km so it must be working well.
Questions
1. Where is the location of the sensor? It is a 2006 FG140 I have the 2005 service manual which is confusing. It indicates it is on the bell housing near the clutch. Would it not be near the crankshaft? Also seems they use different terms for it. Revolution sensor or speed sensor unless those are different sensors? Of course I have a manual transmission.
If it is defective, I hope to find one here hopefully or can order one in.
Thanks for your help. If anyone has had this issue, please let me know.
