Well way too much has happened since my last post to catch up, but after 5 months back in the USA visiting family and friends, while at the same time finishing out the build of our USA based camper (F350 with Bison Overland composite shell) we returned to Argentina. We're now in Paraguay catching up with some friends as we work out the details for our upcoming winter/summer. We've decided that the next shipping destination will be Europe as our parents are getting older and we feel we need access to easy flights back home. We've got a shipping date of 11/22 and should arrive in Belgium just before Christmas. And we're working out the details on the ferry from Denmark to Iceland for the upcoming summer (really excited for that).
This is the USA based camper, the long wheelbase makes it turn like an aircraft carrier but I wanted the extra space. The rear seat is removed and I will eventually build a gear platform back there for bikes, pack-rafts and camping gear.
A side trip this summer to Stehekin, great park with an even better bakery!
Reuniting with our home back in Mendoza Argentina. We were able to store the truck in this shed for the 5 months. If you're ever in Mendoza and need to store a vehicle I would highly recommend this place. Great guy and a great help to overlanders. Truck started right up and we drove it out to his backyard where he allows people to camp. Good to wash off the dust and plug in to charge the batteries.
Out for a hike, usually dogs will accompany you. These 2 where especially nice and funny to watch.
And one of our favorite pastimes in Argentina...
And who would've have thought you could get really good sushi on Paraguay? Apparently there's a large Japanese expat community here, so great sushi is available!
Well, off today for a cycle to one of the local Jesuit missions. Went to one yesterday, there's several of them around here.
