Hello Eric, I have not been on the site in a while and did see this message. I noticed the same thing while it was sitting in my garage during the refab. I had a scrap piece of 1x3 that I used, and it seems to be doing fine. I have done a lot of work, I had to rebuild the front overhang, totally rotten, made new cushions, installed a new battery and solar panel and even a radio. I was lucky, the furnace and fridge work although the furnace has a loud squeak. I have everything resealed on the roof and just a few more little thing to finish before I can try it out, hopefully in the next month or so, turkey season is upon us.

Howdy--just wanted to see how you were doing with the 4-seasons. One thing I figured out about it is that the lack of structure above the door makes the camper start to widen a little bit in the back. I got to the point where the door wouldn't stay shut after a few off-road trips. (I'm so glad it didn't happen when the dogs were along!) I used a ratchet strap to compress the back of the camper and put in piece of metal strip on the back interior camper wall and across the top of the door opening. It's fastened with screws and has a piece of foam pipe insulation over it where it spans the door opening. It has added a lot to the integrity and now the door closes snugly every time.
