There is a demo and a counter-demo planned for tomorrow (Wednesday, 9th May) in all major cities. We hope that it will be peaceful.

We are trying to avoid the City centres, and especially Managua. Prior to heading into town we always ask the locals here if it is calm and OK to go into town. We have seen many damages in Managua and Leon, minor damages here in Esteli. We expect that the demonstrations will go on for quite some time as the Opposition want's the Head of State with his Entourage to leave the post.

What's the feeling of Nicaragua right now? Are there protests or riots in your area?

Now travelling in our 6th year around the world since 01. April 2012. After Eastern Europe, Russia, Mongolia, the Stan Countries and China down to Singapore wie have shipped to Australia, then New Zealand and since 2 years in South and Central America our IVECO 4x4 is getting a new Clutch here in Nicaragua. Next heading North towards Mexico.
