Ozarker, follow the link to the 2 build threads in my sig block, there are more pics in those. The camper is a one peice fiberglass design, like a boat. Weighs about 1000lbs empty.
Interesting thread. I've been wondering about tire pressures too. I've got E rated GY Duratrac tires and like them. On the highway driving no more than 65, truck porpoises a bit sometimes if road isnt smooth. Carrying a load about 1600 lbs (has appropriate suspension upgrades).
Seems like...
I also use a multi mount set up for my Warn Zeon 10s... I hadn't thought about possible results of a side pull. I guess it's good to learn from other folks experience...
So, how far of center where you pulling when the mount bent?
Mykdee - I think, in reality the body didn't hurt F150 sales at all. But I do know what you mean... I looked at several nice box nose Fords, but the singular reason I bought this one was because of the suicide door acces to the back seat area, which we use for storage of big items.
Every vehicle...

Hey Terra, I really like your camper.
Let us know what turns out with your porpoising issue. Mine does it a little also. I was thinking to get new shocks.
A little odds and ends
Had some time to do a few things to the camper this weekend.
Roouted a gas line to run our Coleman dual burner camp stove with a big LP bottle. Bottle is mounted in the bottom cabinet.
Also mounted a shelf to hold our Yeti cooler. As we won't have time in the near...
I def wouldn't buy with the intention of dismounting with regularity. You might be disappointed. However, your 1500 should definately be enough to handle it with some minor modifications to a well thought out package. Just about anything you do will likely require some changes to your truck. I...
As requested - interior pics
Ok, here are some interior pics.
This is a bad pic but you can see how big the upper bunk is, and the fleece curtain that can be deployed completely around the bed which is great for those cool nights and to keep it dark in the morning.
First camp trip with the Overlander
We made it an easy one for a first trip out. To Normandy for a short week. We camped on the shore near Point Du Hoc.
The camper was great. Comfortable- we slept like babies in the top bunk. The German style bedding is super comfortable. We got in the habit...
Maiden voyage of the Fernweh Mobile
Well we decided to make an easy trip for our first time out with the new camper. We made a 6 day trip to Normandy with 2 goals in mind. 1) get to know our new camper and 2) experience more closely the sacrifices our predecessors made for our freedom.
The...
CAMPER INSTALLED!
Hey Deuce, I know where not to drive that big thing! So it's not too bad. But in my little village there aren't many parkiing places it'll fit, so I often end up parking it out side of town and walking to the house. Bit of a pain...
Well, we finally got our Fernweh-Mobile...
