    2001 Chinook Baja 4x4, Nevada, $64,000

You apparently hung out in nicer basements in the 70's than I did. Nice rig, but seems expensive. And if I bought it, I would re-upholster.

Japanese Internment Camp at Topaz Utah

It is called "Ibex and Selected Climbs of Utah's West Desert." By James Garrett, 2001. It is almost exclusively climbing routes and not much about the area/roads.

Japanese Internment Camp at Topaz Utah

The Ibex dried salt lake bed is also out in this area. There is some adventurous climbing on the western edge of the lake bed. An old guidebook exists if you can find it. When I was there about 15 years ago there was one other party camped there, and it was the guidebook author, so that is how...

    2005 Unimog U500 Expedition Camper

Looks similar to the orange one for sale on the GXV website. The orange GXV one has more miles and costs about $100K more. So this may be a "good deal." Now if I can only find $450K.

Is Tiger still fully in business? The website used to list 3 models but now only lists the Bengal. These are really nice looking campers.

    2002 Custom Built 4x4 Expedition camper F550

Do you know how long the vehicle is, and what is a realistic MPG? Also, is the backset water tank removable without re-doing the entire water system? The dog has to ride somewhere. Thanks

The Prototype EarthRoamer is !!SOLD!! 10-23-17 Cummins, 15mpg, 20' long, 10' tall

Congratulations. Bummer for me, as the spouse was actually quite interested in that vehicle. "Real" Roamers - in addition to being sort of expensive - are just way too big. Oh well, there will be others.

The Maze at Canyonlands: Pilgrimage to the Doll House

Awesome trip and trip report; thanks for that. I am going to have to get bigger tires and go back. I am not one to offer advice on what vehicle can make it where, but there is a way to get into the part of the Maze below the Flint Trail switchbacks that does not require driving down the...

The Maze at Canyonlands: Pilgrimage to the Doll House

I would love to see the pictures. Last year I tried to get to the DollHouse in my 07 Tacoma 4x4 DCOR with wimpyer than stock tires. Made it down the switchbacks (that was hairy) but turned around about 1/2 mile past Teapot Rock campground (took an hour to go the last half mile). That...
