The famous Marlin Crawler "Crawler Truck" has been running the rollbar(s) as air tanks for years and years and years. I don't think he's had any problems...
Took my Cruiser out to Anza Borrego today. This marked the 1st time I've put her in 4WD since I've owned her . . . obviously this was her first time off road. She did well. I've never wheeled an open/open vehicle before. It's wierd. I definitely took it for granted haveing a rear locker all...
Where in SoCal are you? I might want to grab the AT can holder.
**EDIT**
You're in Upland. You ever come to San Diego, or close? I'm hardly ever up in your area...
On my Tacoma (which I use exclusively for wheeling) the white letters are in. On my White FJ62, I put the white letters out. I think it looks clean, and pretty cool.
I just picked up one of these for the FJ62. Now my 60CSx will be living permanently in the Tacoma! No more switching back and forth.
I like the Nuvi 500 so far.
Can you elaborate on this?
Overkill Off Road was a sponsor for the 2008 TTORA TakeOver, and they donated a couple of their Tacoma rear bumpers.
They were pretty simple, and pretty stout, and pretty inexpensive, I think.
If you google Overkill Off Road, it's the wrong one.
If anyone's interested you can email him for...
Wow - yeah - Thanks! It is good to see some pics to give this thing some scale!
I was really on the fence about getting one of these for my Expedition Trailer, but now I think it would just monopolize too much space.
I'm still over here in Kandahar (for 1 more week), and there are a bunch of factory Solid-Axle turbo-diesel 100's cruising around here (with ARB bumpers). I wish I could put one in my sea bag and bring it home with me!
The sad thing is - I bet I could buy one for pretty cheap, but there's no...
I have 3 of these exact same ones that I use for setting up my GHETTO AWNING. They are great, considering what they cost, and I've been using them for about 2 years.
IMHO - ARB's are overpriced and underbuilt. I've seen a lot of ARB's get bent from lesser impacts than my bumper has taken and stood up to. And they're heavy as hell! ...but I must admit that they do look good.
Yep - that's my bumper. Tube will give you the lightest weight, but still be...
Yep - 1998 was the 1st year of IFS in the Land Cruisers, and they make great Off-Road platforms.

What you said is exactly how I built my trailer and why.
But AT builds theirs the opposite way so that if you have to pull off the road, and open the trailer lid, you're not standing in traffic.
I emailed them last week about a Tire Carrier for my FJ62, and they got right back to me.
They are absolutely still in business, but they are a small business that is fortunate to get a lot of work. Sometimes you can't get Demello or Inchworm or Budbuilt on the phone... They're out in the shop...
Man . . .
If I could find someone that would give me a good price for my Tacoma, I think I'd sell it and start over with a White 100 like this one. The more 100's I see the more and more I'm loving them!
