This is my first year of owning a fridge. I've got my ARB 50qt fridge/freezer mounted between the rear seats of my LR3 and as the calendar heads into winter I'm questioning the proper use or storage of the ARB.
What do my Northern counterparts do with their fridges during the winter months when...
I bought 2 key fob cases on ebay and successfully swapped out the internals with a new battery (don't just replace the case w/o replacing the battery since you've got it open already, they seem to last only 5 to 7 years).
Depending on the age of the truck, I'd replace the whole drive shaft as I have done 2 times now either due to shot hanger bearing or broken drive shaft (aftermarket) last week. Look at it this way, you'll get all new bearings and U-joint.
TIP of the DAY = Use LR Original Equipment drive...
I currently have EBC Performance rotors (grooved and dimpled) and have used Green Stuff pads but they didn't last for ******** so I switched to Yellow Stuff and haven't had any issues. Yellow Stuff = Good Stuff in my experience.
Ok, I did even more digging for some archives from the lrrforums.com website and this is about as good as it gets. I've copy/pasted the original post below but unfortunately the photos did not archive (as far as my search went). This should at least give you 90+% of the information you seek. It...
Well, I thought I'd help you out and find the post about someone moving the rear coolant lines but it doesn't appear that the website is working anymore. Originally found the post here. https://lr3tips.wordpress.com/2010/10/01/will-bigger-tires-rub/ But, like I said, it appears that...
I seem to remember reading such a post a year or two ago (sorry no idea where I saw the post) where someone moved the line that was in the RR fender well along the seam you want to fold. Turned out this line is Not AC fluid/gas (freon) but is a coolant line so no high pressure fixings are...
Stock vehicles will be just fine. They have different trails that are all rated easy to difficult based on various factors. Although I don't recall seeing any stock D1, D2 or RRC they would all kick butt and I have seen stock LR3's and 4's at the rally.
My wife and I have gone for the last 2 years in a row and plan to attend this year in July. The Solihull Society does a great job hosting this event. Highly recommend it. The first year we went (Ouray CO) we hotell'd it and last year in Moab we camped. This year we reserved a camp site as well...
Based on some of the same observations about sidewall flex and being a 6500lb beast I have started to either not air down or air down to around 30psi. Memorial Day I was wheeling in Wisconsin after 3 days of rain, the trails were very muddy or sandy, and I didn't air down a single psi and did...
Perhaps a photo can shed some light on the need for rim protection on LR3 18" alloy wheels (can't be more specific than that). I'm talking about sharp, jagged, tire shredding Minnesota rocks. The photo doesn't even do the nastiness justice, it's worse than it looks and goes on for about 100...
Couldn't agree more. Thanks for posting your experience with rocks on alloys.
Now this post is offensive to me getlost4x4, If I post a picture of the battery monitor I just received in the mail could you explain why I received the Recessed mount when I CLEARLY ordered the Surface mount?
I've been casually looking for a solution to a growing problem I'm having as I continue to destroy my off roading wheels on rocks. See picture. This is the worst wheel I currently have with the others having either a folded lip or a short piece of the lip torn off. I'm running 275/65/18 Goodyear...
I've decided to sell my light bar since it's straight and not curved which would fit my LR3 Expedition roof rack better. Seems to be only one source for the Raxiom light bars is here at http://www.extremeterrain.com/raxiom-50in-lightbar-j100989.html the online sale price is $470.
