For a Tacoma you can just find a bed mat, throw it over a 5 foot sheet of Baltic Birch and trace/cut.
Even if you have to buy a bed mat, you're still only in it like $150.
I believe the Frontier bed is wider but that the bed rails are recessed so for something like bed rails you would need spacers.
The Drifter fit mostly flush on my Tacoma, while it has a bit extra on the sides of the Frontier.
3rd Gen Tacomas have more or less the same bed as a 2nd gen - the...
The Frontier bed is a bit narrower than a Tacoma but the bottom of the Drifter actually sits more or less flush with the bed rails (that stick out quite a bit).
If any manufacturer invites you over for a test fitting I would jump on it! You get a nice behind the scenes look and you see how much work and attention to detail is put into these campers.
Snapped some more photos of the Drifter on a Frontier tonight...probably not the shots you were looking...
Honestly you should message both companies about it, and get anyone with a Frontier who wants one to do the same. I just told Phil that I didn't think it was worth doing a Frontier specific version because I don't think the demand is there but maybe it actually is.
If you're interested I can...
It's definitely not making contact with the cab BUT it is lower than on a Tacoma. You have 2-3 inches of room there.
It does hang off the edge a bit, but with the right tail window it shouldn't be a problem. I think the bed is an inch or so shorter than a Tacoma, but I have a window for 3rd Gen...
Picked up a rental Nissan Frontier and transferred my Vagabond to it...and it fits!
Also not sure why anybody would buy this truck but people do lol...
The first photos of the Summit we saw were on a Tacoma.
I actually like the look of the Summit a lot on a full size truck...but on a Tacoma that cab over seems pretty excessive but I'm not an engineer.
Here's a couple quick shots showing the platform in sleeping configuration, and then the bed platform slid into the cab-over portion with the mattress folded over.
This is really handy for me if it's really nasty out - I still have enough space to put my dog in the cab-over portion while being...
Thanks, honestly I considered never mentioning it because it's embarrassing as ******** but I ended up mentioning it because of how well the Vagabond did outside of it's design parameters and to hopefully impart a couple lessons learned so hopefully something good will come from my mistake.

So on Monday I had the unfortunate experience of crash testing my Vagabond Drifter.
While driving down a dirt road near Toponos, CO I took an incline turn too wide and flopped my truck on its side. The Drifter likely prevented me from rolling over completely, and I came to rest on the cabover...
So I'm from the PNW but travelling around the country for work and have had the Vagabond on my truck for exactly 1 month (today I think). It rained a good 1/2 the time I was on the East Coast (a good 3 weeks) including one particular bout of rain + 60mph winds and I've had zero problem with...
Full disclosure, I purchased a Vagabond and I have had their first model on my truck for 3 weeks (as a loaner). I paid full price for mine, and they have not asked me to write this or given me any feedback on it - nor is this sanctioned by them. 100% my own opinion.
With the recent price...
