If you go to a tractor supply store you can buy a better pin that has a collar on one side and a ball on the other. I use a 50 watt solar. In theory should work fine.....but I have an engel fridge that use less energy than the others. Some have a 100 watt panel.

If you weld a couple of flat bars on the brackets you can pin them on the side of the rack for the RTT. Or turn them upside down and across they can be stored in their frame position.

I failed to mention that the with of the side boxes are just 1/2 inch inside the with of the tire. So the tire still sticks out a wee bit more than the boxes.
