I will second that motion....:):giggle::LOL: It is almost a let down for me with the side boxes installed...... I am thinking about what I can do next, as it is all finished..... Ha. It is a dang nice trailer, and I am proud of what this thread you started have become.
Cheeeeers
I do.
I am however away from home right now until wedensday.
You can however flip a few pages back in this thread as i did post a picture I believe of the brackets I made before installing them on the rear bumper.
If you go to a tractor supply store you can buy a better pin that has a collar on one side and a ball on the other.
I use a 50 watt solar. In theory should work fine.....but I have an engel fridge that use less energy than the others.
Some have a 100 watt panel.
If you weld a couple of flat bars on the brackets you can pin them on the side of the rack for the RTT.
Or turn them upside down and across they can be stored in their frame position.
Sure.
Kitchen stove and utensils are on the left side or drivers side.
There are no room on the left for the Engel fridge..... so it went in the right side slider.
Yes..... I would have loved them to be on the same side but there is only so much room available. I actually don't mind this at...
Thanks amigo.
Those boxes are sorta made for this trailer.... :) I did not create any backing as I simply moved the Smitty plague and long bracket from the outside to the inside. I essentially reversed the position. That created a plenty strong enough backing plate to the inside. The fact the...
I would love to show it to you someday. Had you pinged me we would have made that happen. That goes for anyone really. If you are passing through Grand Junction,CO on I -70.... message me here and I would be happy to show it.
I think the slide setup ( one on each side and one in the back) for a...
Thanks.
The box is made from 14 gauge steel, so it is quite sturdy. I really wanted to install box that had the door on the side, but they were simply too expensive, and most that I saw were right at 36 inches, which is about 1/4 inch too long to fit. Then I got the coupon from HF, and I thought...
After both boxes are in place. They do not look that big in person. The bottom of the box corner will help in aiding in much control slung from the tires as the fender does not cover it all. Now it does.
Correct. But in reality..... the beautiful part of this greatly priced Swiss army knife of a trailer, you get to customize it exactly like you want it. Side boxes might not be for all all everyone, but personally, I can't have too much storage..... :)
I think to me lot of the fun have been to...
I failed to mention that the with of the side boxes are just 1/2 inch inside the with of the tire. So the tire still sticks out a wee bit more than the boxes.
Resized @ 25%.......
I simply took off the smitty logo side cover and put it on the inside. I sat the new box on the fender, and drilled from the inside of the smitty, utilizing the 3 holes used for the smitty cover, then used the same hardware and sat the box down after laying a bead of...
Side box installed. As a matter of fact I was a bit nervous as it is a tongue box, but I like how it looks. So much in fact that I went back to Harbor freight to buy another one for the other side.
25% off today, which brought each unit to $90. Looks OEM IMHO...
