    Tdi Dormobile for sale

Racing, do you what it would take to import to the US? It is over 25 years old so at least it would be legal to bring it in. It's a beaut. Does anyone know what it would take to import?

Pico Chairs... a quick story about GCI customer service

We have the XLoungers and love them. Fold up and packs away nicely. Right now mine are in our rig so I'm wondering if they are "field maintainable"? I'll have to look tomorrow - that's if I remember that far into the future. We have used ours for close to a year only in a desert environment and...

    EarthCruiser Overland Vehicles

 This is just what I have been dreaming about. Not too big, not too small. Totally self sufficient and will go anywhere. :smiley_drive: Unless I missed it, what IS the price of the production machine in Oz? Very, very nicely outfitted overlander. BTW, very nice write-up Bandicoot.

    The Forgotten Continent Expedition

I am going to pass my thoughts to the organizers. And I predict that if you two gave the above presentation, it would be standing room only. Not to make light of your situation, but with your writing skills, a screenplay would be in order. But your story may be too unbelievable to sell...

    The Forgotten Continent Expedition

Amazing story. WOW. Sure glad everything, at least so far, has turned out OK. I'm assuming you're clear with our various police agencies? Met you two at the Overland Expo and throughly enjoyed our dinner conversation. To be going through all this at that time - I'm speechless. Sure hope you...

    New Waeco CoolFreeze CF-40

We've got the same unit - CF40 - since April. We've fully tested it on two week long trips. One was along the Arizona Strip, the north rim of the Grand Canyon in 90-100 degree temps. The fridge worked excellent. It's amazing how much food they hold. Great fridge.

    Australian touring vehicle

Is this the "the grass is greener" syndrome? It seems all Oz rides are great and made exceptionally well. Whereas the manufactures in the USA can't come up with comparable rigs. Keep the pics coming. I can just keep dreaming. THANKS

    New Camping Lab awning

We have the fold down table mod on the rear door along with a Weaco fridge which makes making quick lunches and snacks a breeze. One problem we've run into, living in the desert, is that there is no shade in which to prepare food. I've been thinking about the side awnings that a couple of makers...

    Jerseymikes FJC build

jerseymike, nice rig. Ever thought of the MAF aux. fuel tank to "top it off?" The stock fuel range sucks. With the aux tank, one can get 400 miles off pavement miles. A real bonus when you're out and about. Gary

    Nat Geo Topo CD ROM

Momrocks, just saw this thread, better late with a reply than never, eh? I have used NG TOPO for over a year and wouldn't trade it for anything. The initial cost is high but what it gives you is great. I've got it on my laptop, interface with the GPS to show where you are in real time on TOPO...

    Fridges

My .02c's The compressor fridges are the way. Very quick cooling and they keep the temps where you want it. I have a Waeco, but any of the other ones will do. More expensive but who's counting the $$$$?

    Carputers bumps and desert heat

Thought I would chime in. I have using a Fujitsu for over a year and absolutly no problems. I really like the large size screen, really easy to glance over and see my location. It's out of the way and can swing for either the driver or passenger (nagivator). The heat has never bothered...

    Ram Mount Asus netbook mount

Yes, I did paint everything flat black. I thought sure I had a picture or two to post but I got nothing. The paint has adhered really well, there is no flaking or peeling. It take about 1 minute to remove the whole mount, except that part bolted to the floor. I have done this many times and no...

    Ram Mount Asus netbook mount

Well my laptop mount didn't cost much so I don't know if anyone will be interested, but I found that the store bought mounts take up too much room on the passenger side. Therefore I made my own. The mount can be made with any size tray for various sizes of laptops. Here is a link to what I did...

Anyone using a Waeco CF-25 here?

I have the CF-40 and am using these as hold downs: http://www.campingworld.com/shopping/product/tv-grips-/2460 Not the best picture but they are a set of easy release plastic clamps with a webbing to connect the two. The clamps are stick on, but just last night I permanently attached the...

    Get Lost

Great post. We were in the Arizona Strip all last week, finding our way from Twin Points to Kanab Point. We had our laptop with the roads prerouted and plugged into our GPS. No way could we get lost. But we had more than one conversation about just what you brought up. Taking the BLM Arizona...

Overland Expo 2009 pics and opinon

I just posted this elsewhere and wanted to post here also. "I've got to say that the Expo was everything and more for which it was advertised. Had a great time and my only regret is that I couldn't attend everything in the 3 days. The seminars and presentations I attended were fantastic. As...
