New Nikon P6000 P&S - Geotag and RAW!

That sure looks like a sweet P&S. I'm hoping that the viewfinder actually does a decent job. It looks like it would be a very good rangefinder like camera. I might just have to figure out how to get me one of those :)

It was time for a 2M HT...

Vx-8r? Ho, What do you know about the new VX-8R? Do you know what additional features it might offer? Thanks for the tips on the accessories. I was already thinking one of the diamond replacement antennas, extra battery and a desktop charger. I may have to consider one of those...

It was time for a 2M HT...

I'm thinking about getting the VX-7R from Yaesu. I really like the idea that it's got a rugged magnesium body and is fully weather-proofed. In fact, it's rated to be submersible to 3' for 30 minutes.

    field knives

Ho, what sharpening method was used here. This doesn't appear to be the Edge Pro Apex. Either it's been sharpened quite often, or something more abrasive was used. Or am I completely wrong, and your every day carry gets used quite a bit? TD BTW, I love my Edge Pro system. A bit slow...

Does your spare need to be the same size?

Get a full size spare at the same time. If you have your tires rotated for you at the place you buy them, then have them rotate the spare in. This can add another 5-10,000 miles out of the tires if done often and correctly. $185/tire? That's good. I bought those exact same tires last year...

    Passed my exam!

Did you do a lookup? Yes; the one I was assigned isn't that easy to recognize or pronounce phonetically. So, I immediately put in for a different one. Still trying to decide on a radio. I'm torn between getting just an analog radio, like the Yaesu FT-8900R, and have the 10m and 6m...
