I'm sorry to hear your first experience with Toyota has been not so pleasant. I have had a few small issues with previous Toyota's but nothing major. Every single domestic vehicle I have ever owned has given problems and headaches, including catastrophic failures for no reason at all. Toyota...
How many miles are on your truck and how was it treated before you got it? That is definitely not the standard with the Tacoma's. I have owned a 98 Tacoma and a 2001 and both of them drove like they were new the whole time I had them. Never had any problems that were not self-induced.
EDIT...
Yeah, Back To The Future really amped me up on the black Yotas too. I have seen a couple of recent movies that had some Toyota's to drool over as well. The Kingdom had some sweet FJ60s and then District 9 had some bad Hilux trucks.

I was looking at my driveway full of Toyotas the other day and started thinking about my first experience with Toyotas. It was the first memory I have of ever really longing after a certain car. I was probably 4 or 5 years old and I remember seeing a new early 80s Toyota truck with a rollbar and...
If a lived in AZ I would probably have a low profile roof rack on my truck for the convienance of it. The main reason I dont have a roof rack now is geographical. I try to keep my exterior very clean and simple due to the thickness of the trails.
Huge lifts is probably right at the top for...
Having s roof rack is going to be dependent on what trails you plan on frequenting and your own personal needs. Roof racks add a lot of wind resistance and cut down on gas mileage. They add weight to the top of the vehicle which is not where you want it. If you frequent wooded trails, like here...
