After sizing up specialized's prices.....MOTOBECANE it is!

I think you'd be very happy with that fuji. Deore components seem to be the happy place for budget vs. Quality. Obviously you could upgrade as parts wear out, but deore seem to last a long time. As far as motobecane bikes are concerned, I bought a mirage pro a few years back ("triathalon" bike...

Exceptionally Cheap Raising Roof Slide-In Camper (like FWC Grandby shell); Portland

I want this very much. Unfortunately, Virginia is nowhere close to Portland! I definitely commend you on giving this away to a good home, I'm positive that you'll find someone to take it away and make good use out of it.

    curiosity killed the...camper

I think you absolutely could build that way. Honestly, I think a lot of slide in builds are actually completed in a similar manner to boat builds, I think the biggest limiting factor of why you wouldn't is insulation and weight. If you need to insulate, you might as well build in a way that...

    Ford Fullsize Thread !!!!

I think the coolest part of that announcement is that you would now be able to use your truck as a generator. I feel like the is something that should have been available for decades, and not just a power inverter like gm did awhile back

I think nobody else mentioned it, but I'm assuming that with a 5.5' bed that you have a supercrew. The problem with that is thathe even many short bed campers won't fit in your truck. If you look at your tailgate, it sits in quite a bit from the edge of the bed. If I remember correctly (I had a...
