Brand new Con-Ferr roof rack. Missing 2 of the L brackets that he used for another purpose and were left on a now sold truck. Specs are in the pics below. Located in Camarillo, CA
If I was tackling this project, I think I would "create" flat frame rails like a cab and chassis and then bolt the flat bed to the newly created frame rails.
How many ply sidewall are the KO2s?
I have 23k miles on my KO2s (285s) on my 7.3 diesel F350. That is with a considerable amount of off road travel. They have worn very nicely with regular rotation and balancing. They might make it to 50k miles, but I won't run tires once the tread gets...
So unfair when you spend hard earned money and wind up with a half ****** job like that.
I hate when i see this stuff happen to people.
Hopefully others will see this post and take their business elsewhere.

That is a pathetic install. Looks like a major hack job to me. Very unprofessional.
I'm sorry that happened to you. I would probably get a local expert fabricator to opine that it is an inadequate installation. If you paid by credit card, I would reverse the install charges. If he comes...
The U shaped aluminum to work as a large body washer makes perfect sense. I like that idea.
Option 1 it is. I think you are correct @Verkstad it will be easier to seal that way.
@FrenchieXJ thanks for the reply. I am not sure what you mean by running the rails over the existing blocks. I was planning on bolting to these parts of the frame indicated in red.
The frame of the shell is 1x1. Can you explain some more about the larger tube cut into a C to overlay the...
SCROLL DOWN TO POST 5 FOR WATER SEALING DISCUSSION.
I have an ARE contractors shell on my truck. I am going to make a low profile rack out of out 1.5x1.5 8020 aluminum. It will sit about 1/4" about the roof of the shell. The rack will hold a solar panel and an Alu Cab Awning.
I plan on...
Ridiculous government overreach. I suppose if going forward they wanted to impose these absurd rules, but to impose it on people who have already fully legally registered these vehicles, that doesn't seem fair. Similar to an ex post facto law.
I see VHB mentioned a lot around here. I took a gander at the 3M www site to learn a little more about VHB. There seems to be many options and probably more than I have patience or desire to learn about. Can any of you experts give a summary of which VHB to use for various applications that...
I think for purposes of overlanding and trail use 35s or even 33s will do most anything, unless of course we start talking about rock crawling. For aesthetics I believe 37s look great on gladiators.
Have you gotten your replacement yet?
There are numerous retailers that sell a replacement original ARB cord.
Amazon (i tried inserting a url, but it's getting messed up from my phone)
If you want to buy straight from ARB (not sure if they sell direct) i would try calling them again...
