I have never paid attention to the grates on the Gobi rack, but I just looked at some pics online. It looks like standard expanded metal grate. You might want to inquire of Gobi if that is a proper tie down spot. I am going to guess they want you using the main bars for tie downs. Unless the...
Have you used MFCs for fuel? If so, what kind of trouble have your encountered? I have not heard of much trouble for the US, Canadian or Israeli Military in using the above plastic containers.
I would agree that other types of plastic fuel containers are not a great choice for transporting...
I am not sure if you are sharing your knowledge just because OR if you are commenting on what I posted. I will have to presume sharing your knowledge, as the link I posted for MFCs are the original military cans.
Most of the niteize stuff seems gimmicky to me. I stay away from their stuff.
Another vote for RollerCam. I love their tie downs. The NRS ones are pretty good too, but I think the RollerCam are a bit better.
If you really need to tighten something down, then there are many great...
The MFCs seem to be hard to find in the USA. Apparently this place sells them:
MFCs They range in price from $29 to $89 depending on quality. They offer free shipping over $99.
As for MWCs, REI now sells MWCs, but better pricing is to be had. It might be a good option if you need one at a...

As mentioned above, Neutral. You don't want that kind of pressure placed on the parking pawl of an automatic transmission. You can also put a rock or a block of some sort in front of a tire(s) as a wheel chock.
I'm a big fan of the https://www.rollercam.com/ the roller allowed you to tighten them a bit more than regular cam straps.
Can you use these to hold the majority of the weight and then a Bungie of some sort to keep it in place.

I am curious. There is always lots of talk about bringing multiple spare tires. For those that have done this drive using an off road tire like a BFG All Terrain or Mud Terrain or one of the many other All Terrain or MT tires how did you fare? The tire in post 7 above looks to be a BFG Rugged...
Reese Titan Class V hitch. This is a very heavy duty receiver hitch. It accepts a 2.5 inch drawbar or a standard 2" with adapter. It was designed to be used with truck campers. Reese has a 2.5 extension bar so that you can still tow with your camper overhanging the rear.

It will be interesting to see how long the new $50 adhesive bonds the HDPE to the smooth painted concrete. Please give us an update in a few months and then a year.
I believe @montypower runs without swaybars. I am going to be converting my 99 F350 to coil springs and have no plans for sway bars. If it's an issue I will install.
Be aware with the Mr Buddy hoses that not all of them are the non-leaching type. I believe only the 10-ft hose is made not to leach. It makes no sense but that's what I have read.
