Is anyone running the Continental HCS 14.00R20 ? The vendor rated them at 110kmh (68mph). I initially bought them for a truck with lower gearing, but don't actually need a tire that tall on the Actros i'm working on. The Actros has 4.2 axles so i could make a smaller tire work.

I already bought the custom wheels and tires in 14R20 size. Zero plans to change the wheelbase on this truck, not sure why that's suggested. The sketch even shows that it's about ideal with a 5.2m box installed.

I think it fits a 5.2m box pretty well. Also, the winch is packaged in there tightly, so I don't want to touch rear axle.

For parts and service work?

The overhang doesn't seem bad with the 5.2m box. Tires are Continental HCS, good for 5000kg.

Most of the trucks with splitters had a .85 top gear. From what i've seen the standard transmissions are 1:1. Isn't there an ID plate on the gearbox? I've seen that a few times.

I've been doing that and it's a bit of a drag. Looking at a lot of SK/AK trucks the last six months. Do those EPC CDs on ebay provide anything?

Does anyone know how to get access to accurate build details and parts from a VIN. I think there was an EPC page, but i'm not sure it's it's open still. I've been looking at truck and it's really hard to figure out the gears and specs from listings. Thanks

Hi.. Any updates on this? I just started looking at LX570s and they just don't have enough headroom at all. How does something so big end up so small inside? Did you gain a lot of headroom by doing the planted/scheel-mann swap? I've got a set of Vario XL Seats sitting in my garage.
