I am a fan of the CampMaid products! I picked up the adjusting charcoal pan when they had their KickStarter for the product. Ending up getting some great accessories thrown in for a bonus by CampMaid! Quality built products IMHO.

The early to mid. 1980's 4x4 p/u's have always been a favorite. I personally like the 22R motor for simplicity. These rigs are easy to keep running well and they're a great motor for the kids to learn how to turn a wrench.

Get your digital multimeter, and test the actuator on the suspected lock. Look for resistance within spec. and check for power.

One of the main concerns, in my opinion, is the sidewall construction of a tire used off-pavement. Personally, I look for a 3-ply sidewall. I've seen tires with "weak" sidewall construction not stand up to the demands of off-pavement driving. Cheers
