Sorry I missed the fact the tires you mentioned, were new ones, not what was currently on there. Yeah, sadly the 16.5" wheels are a no go anymore. I think I read there was one size choice available. Totally understandable to move to a different size wheel for tire availability. Still cool. :)

I know when I had my Cummins, you could buy heavy duty contacts for the Denso starter, which was typically the point of failure. I bought a set but never ended up needing to fix anything.

Cool project. Might I add a suggestion. Turn up your wire speed just a little. Welds look like they have a little "undercut" to them, which typically means not enough wire. Will make for stronger welds.

Ah, perfect then. Seen too many builds where the end isn't supported in the closed position and folks don't realize how much dynamic loads are place on things while driving down the road.

Nice design and work. From a structural perspective, I would have liked to seen a bar on the backside that ties the upper vertical area to the end of the horizontal area. With the weight of the tire and that much leverage hanging out there, I can see the potential of that bending/failing at...

So much want!!! Been wanting a 712 since first time in one, back in 2007. Interestingly, it looks like this was converted to some form of EFI and not the original carbs. Not talked about in the description.

But he has a 4BT engine, not a 6BT (i.e. 5.9L).
