That's exactly what happened to me, causing the shock to fail and suspensionlifts.com stating everyting was "fine" even though those shocks aren't made for the front of a 2022 Chevy 3500HD.
I'm not sure about Ford's but on the newer Chevy's this is 100% correct and check the bilstein.com website before purchasing.... ask me how I know? :-) I've documented it pretty well and suspensionlifts.com (or whatever they call themselves now) don't know ******** about shocks and what is made...
I had the same issue when I had my FWC Eagle on a RAM Ecodiesel. I weighed the rig once and wow.... way overweight and even though I upgraded everything I could, the brakes and weight still had me worried. When it was time to upgrade to a flatbed, I went to a 1 ton so I wouldn't have to worry...
Awesome build. I see a lot of those type rigs when out traveling. Just curious though, with a family of 4, where do you all sit when traveling? I don't think in the US, you are allowed to travel in back while moving.
That's an awesome rig. I would suspect that it'll sell soon (or in the spring). For me (and I wonder about others) it's a lot of vehicle. I drive the rig in my profile and it's pretty big and less complexity. I think you've thought of everything with this rig and I'd be overwhelmed with all...
BTW, what did you use to generate that route map? I am presenting to my local Trout Unlimited chapter and would like to do a map like that and my google maps doesn't look that good. Thanks!
I used to use iOverlander but since they are now trying to monetize the info people all contributed to the platform, that's off the table for me. I think their model will change or they'll go out of business (or go back to the old model) when they realize people aren't going to pay that much...
I'm curious about what happened to the original Earthcruiser company/products? I know they shutdown and it seems like this is a re-invention (?) of the company?
