Offroad capability of full size truck

I just checked the build site for Ford assuming I'd be able to show you otherwise.... How silly. You cant option for a larger tank on a SD but you can for an F150??? Lame. There is an options for a 58 gallon aftermarket tank.....for $2700.

Offroad capability of full size truck

Correct. You can still order a 2023 I am pretty sure, limited configurations. 3.5 EB or 5.0 engines only. Certain cab configurations. That's why I said F250 from the get go. Avoids trying to find that one specific F150 in a sea of average F150s.

Offroad capability of full size truck

    Yessss. F250 for the win.

Offroad capability of full size truck

Not that I am biased or anything, but Ford. If it were me, I would size up on the truck so payload of whatever you do or want to do isn't really even a question. Second option for me would be Ram. Personally, I'd stay away from Chevy. I don't think anything they have put out in over a decade has...

Offroad capability of full size truck

You'll be amazed what a full size truck can do with proper mods and an experienced driver. I started off roading in high school with the family Excursion (basically an F250) and was always amazed at what it could do. And yes, full size is the go to for overland campers because of large payload...

    badm0t0rfinger's 2014 Raptor build

How them bed supports holding up? I have always kind of wanted some. Don't feel they are really needed for me since my RTT and rack come off when I'm driving around town so there's no real weight. Did you see any flexing on the bedsides that made you get them?

2022 Ford F250 Tremor + Mits Alloy Flatbed + Supertramp Flagship LT Camper

So awesome! You 100% found the best shop for this type of build. Basil is a great dude, have spoken to him numerous times and a bunch of my friends have used him. The fact he lived nomadic in Bruce for so long definitely helps, too. Best of luck on your trip. Sounds so awesome.

    Surfboards on truck camper??

What Calicamper said. I know of a few guys that strap them to the roof inside for longer travel times, then mount on the side when they're around town or on trail. Search for the build by basil lynch and his awesome camper "Bruce". He had some long boards mounted to his camper while travelling...

    2021 Ford F-150 w/ FourWheel Camper Project–M

Sad to see it sell and I wish I was in a position to take the Project M off your hands. So family size increases is one of your reasons for selling....kid on the way? Not my business of course, but if that's the case, congrats.

Thoughts for an Overlander in today's market? Suggestions?

How about a Ford Ranger? Checks every box other than it seems you want an SUV over a truck. 20 MPG easy, tows, great offroad, lots of aftermarket support. Broncos are fantastic, they're still too new and cool to find a good deal on one. I wont speak badly on a Frontier because the one time I...

Why are torsion bars so vilified? And were Land Cruisers ever designed for recreational off-roading

I think the complaints stem from it being older technology. The 100 series has become almost a collectible vehicle and with a plethora of options to lift other trucks and vehicles, I can see how having limited options with the T bar could be an annoyance. I had t bars on my 98 F150. Had them...

    Off Road proof oil storage

While my idea had good intentions, a quick google search says no to keeping oil in plastic containers. Been buying olive oil in a plastic bottle for 20 years lol.

    Off Road proof oil storage

What about a water bottle? Like the smallest size plastic smart water? Super sturdy. Checks all of the boxes.
