Guy's, thanks for the kind words! Pappa- a wise man once said, "If you want it, you need it."- Truax Snow, yup. Old ford trucks and heeler dogs go well together! Thanks! Bojak- you got your trailer on a thread? I'm into mine for about $1,600. I paid just under that for one with the same...

Haven't posted in a while. Been busy like always with farm work and feeding, and repairing, etc. But, I did make a purchase. I really love my slide-in. And as stated before am very glad to own it again. But for overnight trips, or weekend trips it's always been a pain with the loading and...

Atl-atl's Dodge Ram 2500 Regular Cab Long Bed "documentation" thread.

Sure would have been a shame to sell that truck- you clearly enjoy using it. Hope you can manage to keep it, and keep updating this cool thread.

Mike, so sorry man. Lost several family and friends to cancer. Such a hurt, such a scourge. It's great you were there to love him.

These are great trucks. One of the best trucks I ever owned was an 02' Silverado. My wife drove a 99' Sierra. Both were awesome trucks and had well over 200,000 when we sold them. I still see the trucks on a regular basis as the buyers were both local people. Tough as nails!

    12 volt refrigerator

Ok guys, I've got a Jayco slide in that is good enough for what I want to do. Everything works on it but the fridge. It has a dometric 3 way. I know I read a thread somewhere about a build where the owner put in a 12 volt only fridge. No propane, no 120v. I have a 150 watt solar system and a...

    Project "Autonomous" F-350

Yeah....I can squeeze 10.5 mpg outta my work truck if I keep it under 65 (more like 60). If I try to cruise 70 I can't touch 10mpg. The 4.10's and all the tools and work gear don't make for fuel economy. Thankfully I got a hand shaker instead of a slush box- probably only get 6 or 7! But I don't...

    97 F-350 CCLB build:

Ole Nasty- I did a fair good bit of cleaning and fixing on mine the first time I bought it. Magic eraser is wonderful for cleaning the outside of a camper. New decals and stripes and a good go over did mine worlds of good. Your camper looks to be in good shape. They aren't bad to up date and...

It's a Jayco pop up. 8'. I documented the purchase and all the work I did to it earlier in the build. Probably a couple pages back. It's nothing grand- but it's bones are good and it works. All it really needs, aside from the small floor repair, is a new fridge and the solar system installed. I...

Life. It sure is a fickle thing. A year ago I owned a slide-in camper and an 18' bumper pull camper. I sold the slide-in to a really close friend. Then this summer I sold the bumper pull, and tonight I bought the slide-in back. It never left my backyard. I liked it and I'm really happy to have...

    OBS F250 slow adventure build

I had a F-250 for years. The TTB was horrible in terms of ride and flex. However, I never really worked on it. So I guess it was fairly rugged. I'll second the shackle reverse and a Dana 60 swap. It's all bolt on and could be done in the driveway. I actually have a Dana 60 sitting in my barn...

Trailboss- that pic was my inaugural ride in my new Aussie saddle. I had it made to fit Thunder's "whiskey barrel" physique. It's my first. I always rode western till I got him. I'd sat in Aussies in the past and swore I'd own one the next time I bought a saddle. So I did. I'm pretty happy. I...

You need to do the update. It did it on my phone-and my tablet. But, the new version fixed both.

The working - camping OBS F-350

Ok so I've been told a few pics are necessary to keep the natives happy. Since I'm kinda proud of the work I've done on this old truck.....I'm happy to oblige! I decided I wanted a step so I could more easily mount and dismount the bed. I'm always after tools in the big box. Since I don't really...

Well, I said I'd post some pics. So I got me a new horse- Meet Thunder. He's a shire(draft) thoroughbred cross. He weighs just over a ton....literally. So I decided it would be nice if I could leave the diesel hooked up to the slightly used three horse slant trailer I bought. Off with the...

real- Dang man, I'm flattered. I didn't realize anybody was that interested in my old trucks. But like all truck/off-road/out door enthusiasts I'm never really done with my projects. I don't want to come off as an attention whore either. But I've got a few pics I can post later of some small...
