The quick answer is that you can. I'd recommend using an alternator that will more than meet your needs. You'll never regret having a higher output alternator... but you will regret not having enough. Upgrading to an ambulance alternator is a common upgrade for those with a regular alternator...
On days like today, I especially miss my bike... in 2002, I was taken off it, it flipped end over end & spun around a couple of times, and I cartwheeled after it bounced off my legs. That's why I drive a 40 with an SBC,1/2 doors, no roof, and a full cage rather than a motorcycle.
Crestline ambulance boxes are sold mounted. Based on memory it is mounted using 1/2” aluminum plates welded to the bottom of the Aluminum cage/box. Solid mounts using 5/8” bolts or something similar. The box essentially has no flex, and I’m sure it stiffens up the e350 frame.

I’ve gone camping a handful of times with my sons school class. There were several 30’ trailers in the group. Where it took me 15 minutes to pack away the bbq and to be ready to go, and it took them a couple hours to pack up their portable kitchens, patio sets, and all the other hoopla they...
true, but it depends on what they are accustomed to. Years ago, in Phoenix Arizona, a relative suggested I bring my coat when we went to a bbq at their In-laws… cause it was going to get down to 77* F. I brought it, but certainly didn’t need it.
In school they only heated it to 67* and we’d...
So far I’ve found 12” radiator fan in a side window of the ambulance to do a great job cooling the rig to outside temperatures. In through the side and out the cab windows. Point that window towards a shaded bush and the temperature is even better. The 120w solar panel more than powers it and...
This is a twin stick setup on an Fj40, but I’m sharing it for inspiration… in case you have any last details to figure out. Heim joints can help avoid slop and binding… as well as being adjustable.
Spring shop installed a 1” lift block on my E350 Ambo. Easy enough to install in the driveway.
Don’t know where they sourced it. Only on one side to compensate for the extra 700 lbs on that side.
My priority is my other rig. The 350 in My 40 series needs a valve adjustment to be drivable again. If that doesn’t resolve or improve the tap issue, perhaps a cam & lifters. If the intake is off, I have TPI to install. Also I need to swap the front 3rd and rebuild the front knuckles to be able...
At times like these I wish it was just a bolt on affair. But I’m happier with this design and a fancy new one isn’t in my budget.
All I need is the time to fabricate the mounts.
Looks like you’ve got your work cut out for you. I’m looking forward to the slow season for my our buisness. In the last 2+ years it hasn’t slowed down because of COVID related stuff.
If you’re bored you’re welcome to come visit the rock and help build my truck(s)… ;)

Your pace is at least...
Good to know it’ll be worth the effort.
This bar is not a about 2/3 as heavy as Hellwig bars, but it is 2-3x heavier than most newer trucks seem to have. It’s an inch or so thick… I’m sure it’ll be better than to non-existent bar it came with.
