I think I’m starting to swing back towards the hate side on the shifter dial.

I had a column shifter on the old one and didn’t like a the dial at first, but almost immediately started liking it.
However, after driving the truck for a couple thousand miles now I realized that in the beginning...
The rotary transmission selector knob on the new Ram has a cool feature- it will put itself in park .
If you are driving and stop the vehicle and shut it off while in drive- the light that shows what position the selector knob is in will flash and then the knob will rotate to park.
Figured...
/\ thx for that , I ordered one up, lots of great reviews, the only complaint was the minor delay that you mentioned . Pretty much everyone said it was not even enough delay to be annoying
Thx again

Speaking of Uconnect 4/5
I have walked away from my truck so many times without my phone. I have never had a recent vehicle that needed a hard wire to use half the technology.I never even took my phone out of my backpack with the last truck(just Bluetooth to the basic Uconnect)
Someone must...
Myself and everyone I know(most of whom drive trucks, at least half for a living) hate driving with lots of clothes. If the trip is more than a local run, I’m in a t-shirt. The heavy coat and hat/gloves etc is in the back(I have been in enough snow banks in the last 40 years of driving to never...
On the other hand, I have noticed the heat will bake you right out of the cab! This is not a complaint, just an observation. I need to have the temp knob at a much lower (colder) setting in freezing weather to keep the passenger compartment from getting too warm.
I don’t have auto climate...
That’s awesome
My 21 is heavier , longer, has double the payload and 60% more towing with a bigger engine, and gets 50% more mpg than the 2012 2500 5.7
What’s not to love ? :)
I appreciate all the data this thread and others related to the new Rams is providing

This
And the poster above claiming 16-17mpg wasn’t bsing
I calculated 16.74 on an admittedly short 200 mile trip. Cruise set to 65-70 most of the time.
You have to do this multiple times to eliminate differences in gas pump cutoffs etc, so this number is not that accurate

That’s much slicker than my 4th gen. I like how it shows you what gear you are in an the options to go up or down. I didn’t have time to play , but I assume at some speed/gear combos it won’t show the arrow in the direction you can’t go??
If that’s not that case then it’s weird, most people...
You can divide the the total weight evenly by four and sleep well. It’s even better if you park next to another truck, then you divide by 8

I’ll have the dealer check the doors out. I had the 12 and the 21 parked side by side and the older one didn’t have water in the doors

I’ll play around with the pressure, I just picked 50 because I knew it was good.
Thanks for the reminder on that chart. I had a hard copy in the truck I just sold( 34” Open Country ATIIs)
I’m going to get another set I think for the new truck

How do you get it back in auto? My 2012 I would once in a while go into manual shift mode to drop it down a gear on a big hill, but would brain fart how to get it back into auto( that was a column shift and didn’t act the same as my wife and sons cars)

This is me, the first time it happened I wondered what was up, but it’s certainly not a problem for me (unless it’s much more noticeable on other gear/tire options, I can’t see selling the truck over it, but that’s just my take on it)

What kind of MPG are you talking about. 13.5 or more seems good compared to what I had. This is on the computer, not calculated. I have a couple hundred mile road trip tomorrow, I’ll try and remember to get better numbers.

The drains are not clogged, it was doing this with 25 miles on it . The water runs out as soon as you open the door. I cut a small square of gasket away in two spots per door at the drains just to eliminate the possibility that the gasket sealed the hole when the door was shut.
Edit- the water...
