You mean a kinetic rope? No. I would have said, "Kinetic Rope". However in some sort of weird and dangerous way I now wish to try this. Probably bad since strap > rope for use on trees and I like trees because they help with vehicle recovery, shade, etc.

Either but a shackle will make life easier. Also I find myself using my 30ft tow strap as a tree strap more often than my actual tree strap.

Considering the 1 USD = 1.37 AUS, these can be had for a reasonable amount of $$$. You could easily get one of these to the US for, I'd say, under $20k USD. Considering the going price for a crappy old UK farm truck, this would be a bargain with the Izuzu diesel.

Depends on the CDL kit. Are you gonna go straight into some moderate trails when you get it or are you just gonna drive this thing to some unimproved campsites? If you aren't gonna wheel the crap out of it, don't worry about getting the CDL initially. That can be further down the road...

Depends. If you maintain your current overall vehicle length and (maximum) wheelbase, it could be better. Also you could put free wheeling hubs on the new axle so it would just be hanging out on the interstate. Off road it would be better. More traction and a shorter...and longer wheelbase...
