One other thing I might add. The US dollar/ British Pound Sterling exchange rate has been abyssmal. The price Duncan is quoting for a 300tdi DELIVERED is about $4500. With the exchange rate so bad with the UK right now, you'd probably be well above that. Just an additional .02 to the mix. Good...

I had a set of Goodyear Mt/r that my buddy siped for me. I think they were great all-around tires after being siped. I did notice better handling on ice and snow after siping. I had almost 50,000 miles before buying new ones. Haven't siped these mt/r yet, but I'm going to.

My D2 had no electrical problems, til it caught fire and burned. Of course, that was because of power steering leak that kept dribbling on the exhaust, and it caught after a long trip up a steep hill........... I loved that rig too!

Stephen Peters aka SafariRover, had a 1997 XD for sale about a year or year and half ago. It had a 300Tdi. It was on ebay and posted for sale on several forums before he sold it.
