Drive to Arctic Circle in “high miles” 4th Gen 4Runner

Since when is 160k high miles 😂, that’s how many my 4th gen had when I bought it. No hesitation to take it anywhere although these days it is commuter status and could use some love 250k miles in

I have done a lot of work on IDI’s and have had a lot of info shared with me. Looks like you have a good handle on it but in case you didn’t know. Only use motorcraft glow plugs, only use injectors and injection pumps form Russ repair or R and D idi. They usually last about 100k. If you used...

    Duluth Fire Bucket Seat Covers

Firehose is typically a synthetic woven jacket over a rubber liner. They make rubber hose but it sucks and is not commonly used. Needless to say Duluth just borrows the name Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

What are some of the most reliable old vehicles?

Late 80’s early 90’s f series with the 7.3 idi. I have an 88, air conditioning, 4wd, beefy 5 speed, underpowered from the factory but bullet proof diesel that is easily modified for pretty good power. Can be had in 3/4 or 1 ton as well as van/ ambulance chassis. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

How to make a cheap isolated dual-battery setup for $50

Just to be clear, I would wire the house battery in just like the original diagram? Ignoring the stock second battery? Yea I would be without power for several days at a time, the plan is to get a fridge at some point, my fiancée has medication we have to keep refrigerated.

How to make a cheap isolated dual-battery setup for $50

Yes, they are for cranking power. So how would one wire in a third battery to charge off of the stock alternator, yet be isolated? I should probably run a larger alternator. Also should I run a solar panel in conjunction with all of this? Or would that be overkill?

How to make a cheap isolated dual-battery setup for $50

I'm sorry if this was covered in the miles of thread we have here. I drive an 88 diesel ford. From the factory I already have dual batteries in parallel. I want to be able to run small lights, a fridge and whatnot for multiple days while out on trips. Should I add a third "house battery"...
