That decision is certainly up to him, but if he's parking gas vehicles in his garage, keeping gas cans in his garage (which is actually prohibited by some insurance companies), etc., then my point is that it's probably not a totally rational/factual decision.

Obviously. But that hasn’t actually happened and the point is similar recalls happen for tons of other vehicles, including over 600,000 Kias, Hyundais, and Chevy trucks just in the last week or so, so it’s not at all unique to Lightnings but gets brought up as if it is.

Overblown issue. You could say the same for the 570,000 Kias and Hyundais that just got recalled for fire risk and the 40,000 GM trucks that just got recalled, all in the last week or so. Or 400,000 Nissans a few years ago. And this is all from a 30 second search. There are plenty of EV pros...

Interesting. I haven't seen too many common problems with the Lightning, so far, and I follow it pretty closely. Of course, they've only been around for ~10 months, so not a lot of long-term results, yet. Mine's at ~3400 miles and no problems so far, but it shouldn't at that point, obviously!

Why would we have to increase power supply by 10X for EVs? The average Florida home uses ~37kWh/day. A EV driven 30 miles/day would use about 10kWh. Even if you had 3 EVs commuting every day, that wouldn't even 2X your needed power, let alone 10X, and the refineries won't be using the...

For another data point, I just picked up a Lightning for... way less than that... and did a 1,400+ mile trip, hitting 14 different charging stations of the same network that "bricked" this Lightning, and had no notable issues.
